AFST 2009

The Ateneo Freshmen Survival Tract is a project of El Consejo Atenista, the student governing body of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. It is a magazine type manual containing essential information, tips, and guides for incoming freshmen students. The theme for 2009 is El Vida Atenista which means "The Life of an Atenista."

I served as the creative director, illustrator and layout artist of AFST for two years, 2008 to 2009. AFST 2008 looked like a passport and laid out as if you were reading a plane/travel guide. AFST 2009 was inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts without the witches and broomsticks. It is also inspired by pop art. It is one of my favorite works which we made only about two weeks including the printing. Here's the document file so you can see it.

Hazel @ 18 Digital Art

Days before her debut celebration, they hired us to do a photo shoot. So i had one day to edit all of these digital art. Hazel is a dancer so we thought of a concept that would fit her personality. We took some dance poses and the usual beauty shots and edited them using the lighting effect. Basically, i overlayed a lot of stock images and added vector designs. Immediately after the party we posted the photos in our fb page and we received a lots of likes. Now it reached almost a hundred likes! Yay! I didn't really expect to do something like this in a short period of time. My years of practice really come this point that i can do stuff that i can't normally do. So thanks for everyone who appreciated our works and hopefully we will have more clients and supporters. So here are the 15 digital arts for Hazel. Alejandro by Lady Gaga Remake

I would like to share this awesome music video produced by the very talented IT students of adzu. They are still 2nd year students and this quality of output has really set the standards of student works. I am very impressed with the superb cinematography, editing, acting, styling and the whole concept. I really wish more students will create a superb project like this with more original stories and creative ideas. I know these students will go far and i am really proud of them. So here it is!

Old Photos of Zamboanga Airport and EAAB

Here are some old photos of the Erwin Andrews Air Base, also the current Airport of Zamboanga City. I was asked to make a video presentation for the incoming officers so i had these files. I don't own these photos but i want to share it anyways. Here are also some important infos about the 3rd Air Division.

The History of 3AD traces its roots on 10 March 1945 when a group of US Army engineers constructed an airfield here in Zamboanga. Consequently, the First Combat Aircraft named “CORSAIR” made its historic landing, marking a milestone in aviation history in Mindanao. The need to maintain an Air Force in Southern Philippines paved the way for the activation of Edwin Andrews Air Base named in honor of LT Colonel Edwin Andrews, the first postwar chief of the Philippine Air Force whho perished in a plane crash while flying over mount Makaturing in Lanao del Sur in 1947.

Seth's 5th Birthday Photos

This is our 3rd time to have a photobooth for an event. The first one was for a wedding and the second was for an acquaintance party. This event is Seth's 5th birthday with the theme Spongebob Squarepants. Seth's parents are originally from Zamboanga and went to Britain for work and to have a family. Then they transferred to Australia. Now, they are in vacation here and decided to have a grand celebration for Seth's 5th birthday. We had a pre-birthday photoshoot at the office and Paseo del Mar.

The birthday proper was held at Astoria Plaza hosted by ByGems Party Kingdom. Seed Interactive is the official video and photo team for the event. Here are some photos of Seth and some shots taken at the photobooth:

Xavier and Teresa Animated Love Story

This is my first animated love story that i made for a wedding. I made this for two days from the character design to backgrounds to the animation. I created the characters and backgrounds in Illustrator and animated them in AfterEffects.

Happy New Year!

Hey! It's 2011! And i made something for ya! it's a typography with a simple greeting on it! The color is inspired by what they say the color of the year, airy Citrus Yellow. And as you can see in the background there's a cute bunny cause it's the year of the Rabbit! They say that we, born in the year of the horse, won't be very lucky this year. But i hope otherwise :D Good year ahead to everyone!
