Digital Art: Croissance

3:12 AM
At last, my creative juices are flowing and i finally created a personal work. Its been eras since my last digital artwork and i've been busy in editing videos and layouting albums. I was encouraged to do this when i was cleaning my bookshelf. I stumbled upon the literary folios (Marejada) that we published during my college days. As i was flipping the pages, I remembered those years when i was still a student...very idealistic, creative and free. It was nostalgic looking at every artwork and photo which brought memories of the little old room in NCB, working after class to compile the inspiring works of the students of Ateneo.

~Then, I looked at myself now. It seems that i've lost that fire that i used to have during the days. Im in the real world now and it's not about creative freedom and what i want. It's about practicality. It's about satisfying others and getting paid so you don't have to ask money to your parents. You have to learn how to be independent and grow as a person outside the classroom. Most of the knowledge you gained in school won't be that necessary anymore because what matters most is that you get through all the challenges that life throws at you. I've been working for two years already and so far it has been a great ride when it comes to career. But as an artist, i've been digging my own grave and almost drowned out the breath out of my head. I almost forgot how to speak my own mind. But now, i finally find that feeling that i used to have when i made my earlier works. It's like rising from the ashes and coming out of the world that boxed my unique perspective in life. Somehow i feel that little kid inside me has awaken and has been brought back to life.

Croissance by csz97

Well, i know someday, that little kid inside me will become a man. A man with who is not afraid to speak out his mind. A man who is independent and matured enough to balance out the most essential things in life. Someday, i will be someone, but now i have to grow.~

So, as I was flipping the pages of the book, i finally reached the back cover. It was like a journey through memory lane. I remembered graduation and chosing what i will be doing after it's all over. I remember working, and working... and a lot more of working. I snapped out of that fantasy and realized that i was still cleaning my bookshelf. I have more work to be done today and more people to satisfy. But still i am inspired. Inspired to finish my work today and do something different after work. To do what i love most: to express, to be me.

Awesome Movie Poster: Corazon

2:08 PM
Here's the most awaited horror-suspense movie this month. Since the first release of the movie trailer in youtube, i knew this movie is no ordinary one. Local films has a bad reputation for the weak quality of design. Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang gave a good impression with the beautiful cinematography and lighting as seen in their trailer. Recently, i discovered the movie poster and  i was simply amazed by the whole concept. Here, the main characters are in fetal position, hand-in-hand, lying in a nest-like structure. The movie is about the birth of the first "Aswang" which explains the nest, and fetal positioning of the characters. The grass and nest has also a subliminal meaning which resembles a womans birthhole, if you know what i mean *insert Mr Bean face meme here*.

I love the passion in Derek's eyes which tells the story of romance between the two. On the other hand, Erich's face and stare is hauntingly beautiful at the same time mysterious. I wonder how she will be the first Aswang. What i dont like in this poster is the rest of the elements under the logo. It is so distracting and the font is awful. I just want to crop them out. Anyways, hooray for this wonderful film. I can't wait to watch it..

Christine at 18 SDE

4:43 PM
Just like what Katy Perry said on this song, "that was such an epic fail", this video was one of them. No, i'm not talking about the party, im referring to the onsite video that I wasn't able to finish on time. :( Which means it was a no-show. Due to miscommunication, we estimated that we will still have enough time to render after the dinner. But the programme was cut short since there were no 18 treasures.

I already prepared the first part of the video the night before and all i have to do is include the details and highlights of the event. But, things just turned bad one after the other. Well, these things happen and i surely learned my lesson. On the brighter side, the party went well and they really enjoyed it. :D Christine is on her prettiest look and she really rocked the night away. Let the video show you what happened that night.

That Style: Charcoal on Paper

1:38 PM
Last friday, we had a prenup shoot at the Butterfly Garden. My fellow bloggers, Rhea and Patty were there, too, to be the stylists for the first time. While waiting, we took shots for our look for that day. For me, im on my casual look wearing a googley eye graphic shirt, slim-fit dark pants, and my favorite artwork sneakers where i tweaked the shoelaces. It was so hot so i brought my dad's vintage ray-bans. That's it! Hype on Lookbook :D

Christine turns 18 Pre-debut

1:32 AM
I really like Christine since our first meeting. Obviously, she's a very pretty lady but her personality is what makes her more admirable. She's very approachable and friendly, and always treats everyone with a smile. On her debut, she wants to be rockin pop star in the likes of Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. She wants it to be very colorful, wild and fun at the same time.

For her pre-debut shoot, we went to their family's house and farm at the west coast to shoot some country-like scenes. We had another shoot at a hotel, where we setup a slumber party with some of her friends. With the direction and encouragement of the crew, she finally set herself free and produced these beautiful images. So here's the video trailer of Christine's debut. Check out the pre-debut photos after the jump. Enjoy!
