The speakers will be talking about various topics that will surely update and educate us bloggers. Some of my favorite topics are "Exposing Local Gems in New Media", "SEO and Traffic Generation Tips and Tricks", "Monetizing Your Blog", "New Media's Role in Business", and "Spicing up Blogs with Animation and Video" which will be given by the head of Seed Interactive, Mr. Ryann Elumba. To view the full schedule, click here.

I'm really excited to be part of this big event that will really help me become a better blogger. During the Mindanao Blogger's i was very busy as part of the organizing committee. Now, as the participant, I will really have more fun listening to the speakers and getting to know the other bloggers from different parts of Mindanao. It is also my first time to visit GenSan so im very excited to see the Tuna Capital at its best.

God Bless the Sox Bloggers and hoping to have a safe trip to the participants who will be travelling to GenSan. For more info about the Blogfest Sox 2010, visit their website here.

MBS4 City Tour

11:29 PM
After the Mindanao Bloggers Summit, we had a city tour sponsored by the Zamboanga Ecozone. We headed west coast to the freeport. Along the way we stopped by the Yakan Village to see the weavers and buy some their woven delights. I bought a nice punk-looking cloth in black with red and white. I was convinced to buy it coz it's one of a kind and it looks modern. Then, we when we reached the Ecozone, the rain fell hard. We waited in one of their amenities. When the rain started cease, we headed to a newly constructed sort of resort with 2-3 ft pool for kids and cottages. Behind it is a huge swamp with beautiful boat houses in the opposite coasts. We managed to hack the houses and see what it looks inside. The house looks beautiful in the inside with a small jacuzzi with a zen feel on it. There are two red leather beds where you can sleep comfortably. There is also another bed in the second floor which you have to use a narrow staircase to go up there. The staircase has a cabinet in the side. The room is air conditioned with a bathroom and a small kitchen area. There's a glass wall where you can have a nice view of the lobby outside. I can only imagine how it feels waking up early morning having a cup of hot choco in the lobby. :D There are also ziplines that you can use that crosses the swamp. It must really be fun to ride a zipline looking at your reflection below. Talking about fun, there is also a separate building for indoor re creation. It is called GameZone which has a lounge where you can sing karaoke, a cafeteria, three billiard pool and my favorite, the bowling area. The bowling area is computerized with cool monitors that does the scoring and the balls are big unlike the ones they have in Camins. You can rent shoes and buy socks if you forgot to bring a pair. They have a promo where you can use all the amenities for only P350. I hope that the Ecozone will be developed faster so it will be in good use. We had lunch sponsored by Ecozone and also had fun playing bowling. After Ecozone we went to Pasonanca Park and Barter so the bloggers can buy pasalubong. Here are more photos of the city tour. Mindanao Bloggers Summit 4 Experience

10:23 PM
October 30, 2010. Orchid Ballroom, Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City. It was the day that we all waited for. I was assigned in the audiovisuals to assist the speakers in their presentations. The program was smooth and everything went fine. The line up of speakers were great. Mr. Mayor was very impressive and we're really thankful for his support. The dancers and singers were also impressive. The food is good but i didn't really enjoy much because i was running back and forth while having lunch. Everything went fine except for one. The participation was very lacking. Sayang talaga kasi marami ang hindi pumunta. They really missed the whole day affair packed with awesomeness. I don't wanna write a long post for this one coz the photos will do all the speaking for me this time. Note: more photos after the jump.

Bienvenidos means welcome!

Well, it was a successful event. I hope that many bloggers will change how they see Zamboanga. I know that we were really inspired by the speakers and we really have learned much about mindanao, about zamboanga, about social responsibility, and about how to become a better blogger by using the power of our blog to make a change. I wished that we had more time to know each other better. Im looking forward for the next activities of the blogging community and hopefully more bloggers will be able to participate in the events.
