This week episode of Glee paid tribute to the 70's hit musical film Grease starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. I really love how they connected the musical with real teenage issues that are really occuring in high schools nowadays. I love their interpretation of the classic songs like "Grease Lightning" and "You're all that I want" while making relevant to the show's storyline. This has got to be one of my favorite episodes yet.


My Grease fever didn't stop there. Just this week, we also produced a Grease-inspired music video for a group in one of the companies here in Zamboanga. My friend got this project and ask me to direct and edit the video. We went to the location during the shooting day without any knowledge on what we will shoot. I'm glad they were prepared with their choreography, costume and make-up. Accordingly, this music video will be their entry for a competition their company is having on December. So we shot the best that we can and edited it like it came from your old betamax tapes.hehe. Enough said, here's our 70's inspired music video to the tune of "Summer Nights" and "You're All That I Want".

Comic Relief, known for their Chabacano serenade rock song "Cuando?", became Zamboanga's #1 radio band and gave rise to original Chabacano music. The first music video we made with their song is "Maria Ozawa." The title might remind you of some personality, but I bet you the music is really good. It is a courtship song inviting the girl to visit Zamboanga's famous places and explore its culture, people and food. The music video we made is a mix of live action and animation.

Anyways, here's the first fully animated music video for their song "Nuay Etu, Nuay Mañana." Synopsis: When your most beloved one leaves you, the shadows of the past will always haunt you. How can you fight the darkness within while feeling the pain at the same time?

I would like to share this awesome music video produced by the very talented IT students of adzu. They are still 2nd year students and this quality of output has really set the standards of student works. I am very impressed with the superb cinematography, editing, acting, styling and the whole concept. I really wish more students will create a superb project like this with more original stories and creative ideas. I know these students will go far and i am really proud of them. So here it is!

This is one of my favorite works. It's a music video by the tune of Comic Relief's Maria Ozawa, where me and my classmates were the cast. It's our final project in a elective class. We had this new media festival in school and this won best music video and special awards like best in special effects and best direction. I used several softwares like xara 3d and aftereffects for this one.

Here's my take on Lady Gaga's new video. When i saw the teaser, i knew i wouldn't like it. I thought Gaga has finally revealed her true identity, a dark, scary, satanist, blasphemous, illuminati puppet who uses music to control the minds of the people. I know many facts about her especially the conspiracy theories surrounding her whole identity. When i watched the video, I was not dissappointed at all. I liked it, actually. I remember how i used to like her not only because of her "junkfood" music, but also because of her passion for her art. All of this is made for art. As long as you know the symbols and hidden meanings, you will really appreciate her. If you are ignorant and narrow-minded, im sure you will really hate her especially with this video. But like all the little monsters who loved gaga, i don't care what you think about her. You can say that im one of them who is mind-controlled by her music but there is more about her music and visuals that made me a true fan of her art.

New stars were born! 2 months ago Lady Gaga's Telephone music video was released and now the youtube video reached almost 40 million hits. With its stunning visuals and unique style, this video is surely one the best music videos of the year. Along with its rising popularity, a young filipino Lady Gaga fan also gained the attention of the youtube viewer's. He is Vinzon Leojay Rubia Booc (vinzonleojay2009), famously known as Lady Gagita. Together with his friends, they created parodies of the music videos of Lady Gaga with nothing but their creativity and resourcefulness. Now, the youtube sensation reached national level with TV appearances, Newspaper features and photo shoots. With better costumes, make-up and studio, Lady Gagita and Haronce (his friend who played Beyonce in the Telephone video), were given an exclusive photo session. The BSIT students celebrated the first Ateneo New Media and Animation Festival last March 30, 2010 at the College AVR, ADZU. This is an event that showcases the projects of the BSIT sophomore, junior and senior students during the second semester. The best out of the entries were judged by a panel and the winners were given recognition on that day. The categories are Poster Design, Shirt Design, Music Video and Animated Music Video. Some minor awards were also given like Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Story, Best Visual Effects, Best Choreography and more. This event was organized by the CS Department led by Mr Glenn Oliva and sponsored by MCTV and E-Designs.
