Zamboanga City Hall Lights Up for Peace!
To open the Christmas Festival in Zamboanga City, the City Hall is once again adorned with bright lights and Christmas lanterns to promote Peace and Love this season. Dubbed as Pascua na Zamboanga, Christmas is opened with a grand lighting of the Ciy Hall, Plaza Rizal and Plaza Pershing led by the beloved Mayor Beng Climaco herself. The opening program started with the "family picture" of all local government offices with the grand "belen" or nativity scene in the background. Real lambs were at the centerpiece of the belen. More than 2,000 employees and their families enjoyed the Christmas carols performed by a grand chorale. They also had fun taking pictures with mascots while waiting for the 6PM cue time for the switching of lights.Few minutes before the lighting, the program started with an intimate prayer. Then Ma'am Beng appeared at the tower of City hall and gave her message in her pink gown with matching halo. She started the countdown as she waved a wand like a fairy godmother. In the last second, the lights switched on and revealed the dominant blue and white lights of the city hall as the word PAZ glowed at the central tower. Plaza Rizal and Pershing also turned into wonderland as the lights cascaded among the lamp posts and lush gardens. A confetti storm also showered the facade of the city hall which was really magical. Above all, the happiness of the people was infectious and everyone was in awe with the great Christmas light display. With this simple spark of joy, every Zamboangueno were rekindled with the Christmas spirit. After the grand lighting, the employees of the different offices marched towards Paseo del Mar with their colorful props and cheerful smiles. As they graced the streets, the lamp posts lit one by one, bringing the light of Christmas around the city. Upon entering Paseo del Mar, the colorful lights lit up, followed by the heritage lamps, then the gyrating musical fountain and finally the grand Christmas tree. The fun didn't end there! A Christmas party of the Local Government Unit of Zamboanga also happened at Paseo. Fun musical numbers were rendered by the different clusters and door prizes were given away. Among all the happenings that night, the camaraderie, happiness and peace among one other is the real highlight of this Celebration. So from the City of Zamboanga to you, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year! Vaya Con Dios!

I really like the uniqueness of Germay and Rea's wedding. It's so hipster with all the Volkswagen Vans, cute letterings on stage and all the nitty gritty details that makes wedding a wedding. Better Days Events really stepped up their game in styling themed wedding and i believe this is their best one yet. The ceremony took place at the Church of Ebenezer Bible School, which is also our first time there. The place is so peaceful and big and the dorms look like old American houses. Here's my only SDE for this month! XD Together with the new Trebor Z team, we created this beautiful SDE for Ric and Roan's Love Concert Wedding. The second song i used here is one of my favorite songs, too. The first song i used is from Step Up 3D soundtrack. This is also our first time to render the video in Anamorphic Ratio. For almost a month of no SDE, i'm back in event film making with the Trebor Z team. Val and Rhea trusted our team to capture the most important day of their life. The song was chosen by the couple along with other songs which are very fitting for SDE's. The song that i chose was also the song for their first dance, which means i did the right decision to choose this song among the 5 choices. Their wedding was an exquisite one. We got to work with Roy Guilly Photography and their team, where one of my former students is a part of. I definitely love their prenup photos which was styled by vintage queen Maam Aleli Tan. CMK was the coordinator and they gave the couple a pretty reception set up. So here's the highlight of Val and Rhea's wedding.
The year has just started and I got the privilege to travel with the crew for an out of town wedding. This will be my second out of town wedding but my first Tagaytay wedding! It's so exciting to go back there because the last time me and my family went there, it was just too short and we went at night so we weren't able to fully experience the place. The wedding day was January 12, a Sunday. We woke up early because the wedding was 11 in the morning which was held at the Church on a Hill. The reception followed at the beautiful Hill Creek Gardens. Shoutout to Sir Kerwin Baldovino for always hitching us there. Check out their SDE here.
It's not every muslim wedding that a song like this is chosen for their SDE. Nabz and Chang's love song is "Always" by Switchfoot. From their entrance to their wedding highlight video, this song really defined their love for each other. They both work in Saudi and had their wedding here in Zamboanga. An emotion-filled family was there to witness as they walk along the aisle. It is indeed a precious moment for the couple as they stood side by side with their family and friends around. 
Here's an epic muslim wedding coordinated by Joe Harris Kari Events and Event Styling. It's quite a unique video since exchanging of vows are not common in Muslim weddings. Their heartfelt messages to one another shows that their love is sincere and pure. Enjoy the video!
After 10 years of marriage, Hannah and Reynier renewed their vows with the blessing of the church on May 30, 2013. At an early age Hannah took the challenge of motherhood and now they have three sons and a lovely daughter. Hannah has a British ancestry so they incorporated a tea-party like theme in their prenup shoot and decors. Check out the lovely family's special moment in this video.
It was elections day, and like every other responsible Filipino, me and my family went a public school to vote. After almost 3 hours of queuing, I finally got to cast my ballot and thank God, the PCOS machine didn't malfunction. It's 11am and the crew is at Lantaka Hotel already documenting the preparations for the big wedding of Sean and Aprille.
Here's another Tausug wedding featuring Zamboanga's famous family, Nuño and Salih. Nuño are very well known in Taluksangay, an old Muslim community in the east coast of the city. Their wedding was filled with prominent personalities and persons with big names. Nonetheless, the wedding is all about the couple. Ghapz and Shamie works in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as nurses. The bride, Shamie, is from Cebu, and they decided to have their Sharia wedding here in Zamboanga. Her family flew here to witness her momentous occasion in life. They were filled with emotions showing how they truly love the bride. The tall and handsome groom vowed to love her forever starting in this beautiful ceremony. Their pagkawin happened at Pavilion while the elegant Sharia rites happened at Astoria Regency.
Ian is such an expressive groom. During the preps, when we was asked if how he feels, he said he's only worried about perfecting their first dance and he doesn't care about the rest anymore.haha. He's such a funny dude. Diane, on the other hand seems to be a silent type of girl. She looked nervous during the preps but with her sister by her side all the time, she did well. Their wedding was fun-filled with all their families and friends who supported them. For us, we tried our best to deliver a clean and moment-filled SDE. It has been so long since our last birthday SDE. It's kinda tough to do a birthday SDE since there are not that much highlights and there's so much time pressure. But that's what makes it challenging!
For the first time, I worked for a Manila wedding together with the Trebor Z crew, Kerwin Baldovino Photography and CWorks. Peachie is a Zamboanguena and she entrusted our team to document their special moment. We arrived in Manila on Friday, Feb 8 and stayed at Kabayan Hotel at Pasay. We went to Megamall for a little shopping and food trip and Greenhills Mall where we watched "Upside Down".
Last month was such a toxic month so i wasn't able to update my blog that much. Here's one of my favorite weddings by Robert and Dynah. The reception programme was so cute with all the entourage carrying puppies! Before the grand entrance, the stage was like a giant jewelry box with dancing ballerinas! The church ceremony was a bit long that it ended almost night already. They had their post-nup at the boulevard with the glimmering lights as their background. Enjoy!
John and Christelaine live in US now and have two kids. They went to the groom's hometown to have their church wedding. Watch as this sweet couple tie their knot at the grand Metropolitan Cathedral.

The Trebor Z Team just had our first back to back wedding coverage. We split the team into two groups and covered two separate weddings simultaneously with SDE's. My group covered a Catholic wedding and the other group had an Christian (Alliance) wedding. At the end of the day, we were successful in delivering our videos and it's really a sign that we are ready for to accomodate two events in a day. This is important because December is coming and it's the peak season of weddings and events.
