Abduzeedo is one of my sources of design inspiration. It's a popular website/blog by Brazilian designer Fabio Sasso and his team. Everyday they gather images around the web and post it in their blog according to a category. They also create and share tutorials for those who want to learn more about graphic design. I have been subscribing the site via email though feedburner.

I always want to be featured so i tried to upload my works in Flickr where they have a group where you can recommend or submit works. Fortunately my typography work "13th Month" was chosen during one of the features called typography mania. You can see it here. Just ctrl+F "csz97". So happy to be featured in their site :D Yey!

I wish more of my works will be published in their blog :D Gonna upload more ^_^

Just discovered this awesome site where you can track which part of the Philippines you have been. You can grade/score the different regions/places on how often you visited them. It has five levels: "never set foot here"; "just passing through"; "been here once to a few times"; "I often go here"; and "I live/have lived here". After scoring, they will produce a map with diffent shades of blue according to your input. The darker the shade, the more often you have been in the place. They will also give you a grade. Mine is C which means i am far behind from being a certified Filipino traveller. So here's my Lakbayan status as of January 2012.

My Lakbayan grade is C!
How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

Can't believe i'm up to my 200th post! Hooray! For pro bloggers, it's just a month of blogging but for me, it took me..uhmmm.. (checking my very first post)... 4 YEARS just to reach to this point. Well, i'm not really a good writer so i try my best to post something every now and then. My first post was about the Evolution of Digital Video posted last 11/22/07. I was a second year IT student back then, and we were asked to do our assignments online by posting it in our personalized blogs. High tech di ba?! Yes, our course is so cool we don't even have to waste paper for our reaction papers and home works.

We were required to maintain our blogs by writing reviews about short animated films in Youtube just so we can write something there. After all the requirements, just like any other student who hate home works, i stopped writing. Then, i attended this seminar called Blogging 101 where i learned many stuff about blogging which really regained my interest in blogging like monetizing through ads. I was really hooked up with the thought of gaining money using ads, i just blogged all day. But unfortunately, my account was suspended due to some issues. I wanted to have my account back but they won't allow me. Disappointed, i lay low in blogging again.

However, I still post stuff in this blog whenever i find inspiration or whenever i want to express things that i can't say in plurk or facebook due to posting limits and privacy. Yes, my blog is public but not everyone reads it.hehe. So i don't really advertise this blog intensively. I just let the people read it on their own risk. :D There are tons of secrets, experiences, rants, happy things, and a variety of nonsense that only my readers (if such exist) have the honor to read it. A part of my life is embedded in this blog since there are things better written than said.

So for this 200th post, i want to shout out a BIG thank YOU for being part of this journey of mine! To the blogging community who inspired me in writing and the writers who i look up to, thank you for being there giving a little spark in this dark abyss of mine which i call blog. And of course to the people who likes and comments in my blog which gives me a sense of company. I really feel appreciated for being a blogger whenever people does simple things like this. So again, thanks and see you in my next posts!

On friday, i will be going out of town to attend my 2nd blogging event after the Mindanao Bloggers Summit. Blogfest S0ccsksargen 2010 will happen on December 11, 2010 at Grand Ballroom of East Asia Royale Hotel, National Highway, General Santos City from 7:30am to 6:00pm. It is organized by the Mindanao's Funnest Blogging Community, the Soccsksargen Bloggers, led by Bariles of GenSantos.com. Blogfest Sox will be attended by more or less 100 bloggers all over Mindanao to learn from Philippine's most influential internet personalities. There will be 13 speakers and some of them are:

Google Philippines’ Aileen Apolo-de Jesus, Presidential Communications Operations Office Manager Jay Jaboneta, UP Diliman Department of Journalism Professor Danilo Arao, Davao Bloggers President Ria Abella Jose, Soccsksargen Tourism Advocate Michelle Lopez-Solon, Digital Filipino’s Janette Toral, Zamboanga Multi-media Guru Ryann Elumba, Web Presence Strategist Fil-Am Dale Palileo, and Internet Security Expert Bobby Soriano all willing and eager to increase your passion for the much vaunted New Media!

The speakers will be talking about various topics that will surely update and educate us bloggers. Some of my favorite topics are "Exposing Local Gems in New Media", "SEO and Traffic Generation Tips and Tricks", "Monetizing Your Blog", "New Media's Role in Business", and "Spicing up Blogs with Animation and Video" which will be given by the head of Seed Interactive, Mr. Ryann Elumba. To view the full schedule, click here.

I'm really excited to be part of this big event that will really help me become a better blogger. During the Mindanao Blogger's i was very busy as part of the organizing committee. Now, as the participant, I will really have more fun listening to the speakers and getting to know the other bloggers from different parts of Mindanao. It is also my first time to visit GenSan so im very excited to see the Tuna Capital at its best.

God Bless the Sox Bloggers and hoping to have a safe trip to the participants who will be travelling to GenSan. For more info about the Blogfest Sox 2010, visit their website here.
