Another digital illustration inspired by the whismical world of imagination :D started as a doodle, traced in illustrator and colored in photoshop. Experimented more on textures and depth compared to my previous work. Check out the illusions in this art ^_^
"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living,
It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.
Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities."

One of the most tiring part of making a digital art is cropping. You have to delicately crop out the subject then composite it in another image in a way that all elements will blend together to make a magical portrait. That's where I developed my patience. In this set, Akia is the little frog prince for his first birthday. In the tale, according to Wiki, a spoiled princess reluctantly befriends a frog (possibly meeting him after dropping a gold ball into his pond), who magically transforms into a handsome prince. Here's my latest digital artwork. Just a simple piece inspired by double exposure photography. Hope you like!
There is a yearning in me, I am woman;
Broken by the tears I've shed, for those
Who have a place inside my heart.
Yearning, yearning greater still with age;
A feeling that I missed something along the way,
Whilst living life and meeting needs,
What seeds did I not sow, that should
Bear fruit now I am older?
All I could do at times,
Was keep my head above the waves
That sought to drown me;
To just keep swimming
All against the tide of life
And hope that love had found me.
When I was young, so easy
To relate and give myself.
But scarred by true reality
And scorn for all my trusting .......
In isolation now I dwell,
Protecting innermost, the child within,
Still crying out "It's me, I'm here"
But not so you can hurt me.
And so along the way, I built
A fortress where no one can be
But me.
