In this SDE, the couple would like to use "Marry me" by Train. It's a little overused so we added a twist on it. I also tried to add another level in the editing by giving a little retro color touch-up. More effects means additional time in rendering. Good thing the machine was fast enough for us to reach the deadline. I edited it a couple of kilometers away from the reception area (from Canelar to Regency) so we have drive as fast as we can just to catch up. Usually the program starts at 6 and the video is played around 8 or 9 before the couple's message. However, the program started at 5:00 which means i have 1 hour less time to include the entrance, first dance and ending clips. The program went very fast, we have to be there by 6:30. If we wasted a second or minute we could have not played it. Thank God we made it. I really love how it appeared on the screen (which was huge). The projector really gave justice with the "HD-ness" of the video. Anyways,i'm just happy that we pulled it off. Kudos to the team! And here's the video...

Just wanna share my layouts that i did for Mr. Jouie Tamse of JoeArt Production. This work really helped me develop a lot in my skills in layout and design. However, sometimes i still find it difficult because i don't want to use the same style in all albums. So i have to look for new resources and references. Aside from my work in Seed Interactive, I am also outsourced by one of the top wedding photographers in Zamboanga City, JoeArt Production. I was tasked to do the layout of their wedding albums due to their hectic schedule. JoeArt Production by Mr. Jouie Tamse is known for their striking style of photography. I would like to describe the style as semi-grungy, vivid, well-balanced, textured, high concept, well-lighted, modern, avant garde while staying classic and modern at the same time. The post-processing is thier unique trademark. Laying out their albums is a challenge at the start since i am limited with the number of photos. I only have 40 pages to layout usually in a 8x20-inch spread. It is hard choosing which photo to use cause they are all worthy of a spread. I didn't use too much graphic designs cause the photos themselves are already beautiful. But as much as possible i also incorporate my style and trademarks. Here are previews of some albums i laid out.

I just came from our first event this November. It's a video coverage for a wedding with onsite or same-day edit (SDE) video presentation. I did the editing for the onsite which came out okay. Well, it's an OK for me coz i wasn't really into it during the whole day. First, i woke up late. Then during the preparation, i was kind of "hands-off" in the direction. It's just awkward working with people nowadays. I was just watching them while shooting. Anyways, i don't wanna mess up so i just stuck to what was given to me, the editing of the onsite video. Last night i was searching for nice songs to use. We considered Katy Perry's "Firework" but they think its unfamiliar to people. So i searched late in the evening for new songs and, luckily, i found a perfect song that is not too upbeat and somehow romantic. The song is "Rhythm of Love" by Plain White T's. Anyways, i loved how they decorated the reception. So here is the onsite video.

10.10.10 was such a special day. It is a perfect day to be married and Dennis and Joy are one of those lucky couples who wed that day. We were hired to do their onsite video and last hour back-up photographer. During the production meeting that we had at Astoria Emerald room, we were able to get to know the couple. They live in Iligan where Dennis and Joy work for Coke and Globe, respectively. We talked about the song selection for the onsite and a simple slideshow. Through facebook, Joy and I learned that we belong to the same church. Anyways, its our first time to have a production meeting before a wedding so i knew that this event will really be bongga. And it really was. The wedding is a civil wedding held at Astoria Plaza. There was indoor landscaping in the entire venue. The place was just magical garden with a wooden bridge leading to the cake and fountain at the stage area. They even have fairies dancing for them. They also had a separate cook for the special guest. The food was scrumptious. I hope that we will have more events like this. The onsite video is posted here. Here are the photos of their event.
