Here's an audiovisual presentation which I made for the Education campaign led by the City Councilors and Department of Education of Zamboanga City. Because of the September seige, many schools were destroyed and were used as evacuation centers for displaced families. Classes will be opened on June yet many schools in affected the barangays were not yet rehabilitated. We are still in need of more classrooms, desks, chairs, books and school supplies for the education of our young people. Because of this rising concern, the council came up with this campaign to help inform people about the situation of the schools and how we greatly need their help. This is aimed to organizations and advocates of education who are willing to extend their support to our community. We hope that someday Zamboanga will find peace and will become a nesting ground for young minds to grow and would someday be the ones who will nurture future generations of youth.

When it comes to vintage themed events, no one does it better than Daydream Events by Aleli Tan. It has been months since my last collaboration with Maam Ai and im always excited to do videos like this. "It's all about the details" is the motto. Check out the classic wax stamp and her scroll invite. The location is a private residence of a doctor here in Zamboanga. The outdoor shots were taken at Centro Pastoral where the clouds were epic! In this SDE, the couple would like to use "Marry me" by Train. It's a little overused so we added a twist on it. I also tried to add another level in the editing by giving a little retro color touch-up. More effects means additional time in rendering. Good thing the machine was fast enough for us to reach the deadline. I edited it a couple of kilometers away from the reception area (from Canelar to Regency) so we have drive as fast as we can just to catch up. Usually the program starts at 6 and the video is played around 8 or 9 before the couple's message. However, the program started at 5:00 which means i have 1 hour less time to include the entrance, first dance and ending clips. The program went very fast, we have to be there by 6:30. If we wasted a second or minute we could have not played it. Thank God we made it. I really love how it appeared on the screen (which was huge). The projector really gave justice with the "HD-ness" of the video. Anyways,i'm just happy that we pulled it off. Kudos to the team! And here's the video...
Cedrick S. Zabala "CSZ97" is a multimedia artist based in the City of Zamboanga. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology major in Multimedia and Computer Animation. Currently he works at the City Government of Zamboanga under the Mayor's Office as a Public Information Officer, and as a part-time Instructor in Ateneo de Zamboanga University. He is currently taking his Master's Degree in Public Administration in Western Mindanao State University. He lives a life with a passion for the arts, culture, and travel.
